Trivial pursuit

The idea of studying some difficult mathematics in a trivial setting begins to seduce me again. This is another minor madness with me. An accumulation of these minor eruptions may add to madness on a grander scale, yet I feel the mental exercise might do me good. Exactly what part of the trivial I want to tackle remains an open question. I wish the question would go away, but I expect it won’t.
